The 1.4D (B) cap is a screw closure with a foam sealing liner and a tamper-evident ring. It is designed for bottles containing liquid products, including medicines. Two versions are available: version 01 for PP 28 necks and version 02 for PCO 1810 necks.

Foam liner and tamper evidence

The assembly consists of a cap body, a tamper-evident ring and a liner. As the cap is tightened, the foam liner presses against the bottle rim to form a seal. Closure selection therefore takes account of the bottle geometry and the product that contacts the liner.

The ring provides visible evidence of first opening. A ribbed sidewall helps users grip the cap when unscrewing it. In addition, the body and ring can have different colours to make the tamper-evident feature easier to identify.

1.4D (B) cap: versions 01 and 02

Select the version that matches the neck finish of the intended bottle. When ordering, specify version 01 or 02 and provide the bottle drawing. This helps confirm the thread fit, cap seating, and contact between the liner and bottle rim.

Materials and accessories

The cap body is made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), while the tamper-evident ring uses low-density polyethylene (LDPE). A foam liner provides the seal. Its specifications should be agreed with regard to the formulation and storage conditions.

Caps can be manufactured in different colours. The external shape also accommodates the SD-20 measuring cup with a capacity of 20 ml. This accessory can be considered for liquid medicines that require a measured portion. Confirm the required configuration together with the bottle.
