Pouring Inserts for Chemical Packaging

Farmmash manufactures polymer inserts that help direct liquid flow from compatible PET bottles.

The current chemical-packaging range includes the P28 Pouring Insert for suitable PP or PCO 28mm bottle-neck configurations.

P28 can be combined with Farmmash K28-2 and K28 CRC closures.

P28 Pouring Insert

P28 is fitted into the neck of a compatible PET bottle.

Its function is to form a defined pouring opening and help direct the liquid during use.

The insert does not provide a calibrated volumetric dose and should therefore be considered a pouring component rather than a measuring device.

Compatible Closures

P28 can be used with compatible:

• K28-2 tamper-evident closure;
• K28 CRC child-resistant closure.

The complete bottle + insert + closure configuration should be evaluated together.

Applications

P28 can be considered for compatible liquid household and chemical products where controlled pouring is useful.

One established application is packaging for suitable fire-lighting liquids.

The final suitability of the component depends on the formulation, bottle material and required packaging performance.

Chemical Compatibility

Chemical compatibility must be checked with the actual formulation.

The insert, bottle and closure materials should be evaluated under the intended filling, storage and transport conditions.

Bottle Compatibility

P28 is intended for compatible PET bottles with a PP or PCO neck configuration.

Nominal neck designation alone does not guarantee correct fit.

Actual neck dimensions, insert geometry and closure interaction should be verified before serial production.

Samples and Technical Support

Farmmash can provide technical information and P28 samples for packaging trials.

Testing with the customer’s actual bottle, closure and formulation is recommended before commercial production.
