Pharmaceutical Dropper Plugs

Pharmaceutical dropper plugs by Farmmash are dosing components for controlled dispensing of liquid products. They fit into compatible bottle necks and work together with a suitable closure.

The range includes two main configurations: vertical and horizontal. Each design uses a different dispensing geometry. Therefore, the choice depends on the bottle, formulation, and required dispensing behaviour.

Farmmash currently offers six dropper models for different packaging projects.

Vertical and Horizontal Dropper Designs

Vertical Dropper Plugs

Vertical models use a raised dispensing channel to direct liquid from the bottle. This design supports controlled drop formation when the bottle is inverted.

The Farmmash range includes DV18-0129, DV18-0130, and 2.2 V (B). Depending on the model, these components are designed for compatible DIN168 or GL18 bottle configurations.

Horizontal Dropper Plugs

Horizontal models use a lateral dispensing channel. Depending on the design, auxiliary openings can support air exchange and stable liquid flow.

The available models include 2.2 E (A), 2.2 A (B), and 2.2 A SP1. Different versions are intended for different bottle neck dimensions and packaging configurations.

Drop Formation and Product Properties

The dropper geometry influences dispensing performance. However, the final drop size does not depend on the component alone.

Product viscosity, surface tension and bottle geometry also affect the result. In addition, user handling can change the dispensing rate.

Therefore, the complete packaging system should be tested with the actual formulation.

Bottle and Closure Compatibility

A dropper plug works as part of a complete packaging system. The bottle neck, closure and dosing component must fit correctly.

Some Farmmash models are compatible with selected screw, tamper-evident or child-resistant closures. However, compatibility should always be confirmed for the final configuration.

Samples and Technical Support

Farmmash can provide technical information for available dropper models. In addition, customers can request samples for internal testing.

Testing helps evaluate fit, drop formation, and functional compatibility before serial production.
