Child-Resistant Cap 1.4CRC-D

The child-resistant cap 1.4CRC-D combines safety, tamper evidence and controlled dosing. It is designed for bottles with PP28 and PCO1881 neck finishes. The cap includes a child-resistant opening mechanism. An integrated ring also provides visible evidence of first opening. Therefore, users can check package integrity before use.

Integrated oral syringe adapter

An integrated adapter allows liquid withdrawal with a compatible oral syringe. This feature supports controlled administration of syrups, suspensions and oral solutions. In addition, the design helps reduce spills while filling the syringe. The bottle can remain upright during product withdrawal. As a result, dosing becomes cleaner and more convenient.

Syringe compatibility depends on the tip dimensions and required connection. Therefore, the selected syringe should be evaluated with the complete packaging system. Dosing performance must also be confirmed with the intended formulation.

Compatible bottles and applications

The closure fits selected glass, PET and HDPE bottles. Compatible bottles must have a suitable PP28 or PCO1881 neck finish. For example, the cap can form a packaging system with the Farmmash Container Kp4-75.

The child-resistant cap 1.4CRC-D is suitable for several liquid products. Typical applications include medicines, dietary supplements and veterinary formulations. It may also be used for compatible cosmetic and healthcare liquids. Other Farmmash pharmaceutical screw caps are available for different packaging requirements.

Various colours can be produced upon request. Moreover, the sealing configuration can be selected according to the project. The final choice depends on the bottle, formulation and storage conditions.

Materials and manufacturing

The materials meet applicable pharmacopoeial and food-contact requirements. These requirements include relevant provisions of EU Regulation No 10/2011. They also include Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004.

Plastic components are injection moulded in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom. Afterwards, closure assembly takes place in an ISO Class 8 cleanroom. Production is carried out at the Farmmash facility in Ukraine.

Child-resistant package qualification

Child-resistant does not mean that a package is impossible for children to open. Instead, the design makes access significantly more difficult within a defined period. Requirements for reclosable child-resistant packages are described in ISO 8317:2015.

However, child resistance applies to the complete package rather than the cap alone. Therefore, the final cap-and-bottle combination should undergo the required qualification testing. Testing must use the intended bottle, closure configuration and filling product.

Quality control includes dimensional and functional inspections. In addition, the opening mechanism and tamper-evident ring are checked. Adapter fit, sealing performance and package tightness should also be evaluated.
