Pipette 6.2 DIN18 is a three-component dropper system for controlled liquid dispensing. It supports the withdrawal and drop-by-drop application of liquid medicinal formulations. Therefore, the system is suitable for both human and veterinary products. Manufacturers can use it with compatible glass or plastic bottles.
The assembly includes a squeeze bulb, screw cap and pipette tube. Its screw-on cap fits bottles with a DIN18/GL18 neck finish. However, final bottle compatibility must be confirmed through qualification and functional testing.
Three components make the system practical and convenient to use. The squeeze bulb supports the controlled intake and release of the liquid. Meanwhile, the screw cap connects the pipette securely to a compatible bottle. The tube reaches into the formulation and enables product withdrawal.
The standard pipette tube is manufactured from polypropylene. This material is lightweight and resistant to breakage. As a result, the polymer tube is suitable for repeated dispensing. Alternatively, the system can be supplied with a glass pipette tube.
Tube length is selected according to the dimensions of the customer’s bottle. It should also match the required product withdrawal level. For example, taller bottles usually require a longer tube. Natural, white and blue are the standard squeeze bulb colours. However, other colours are available upon request. Each colour option must receive technical approval before production.
Individual packaging can also be provided according to the agreed specification. In addition, the packaging format can be adapted to customer handling requirements. It may also support transportation or integration into the customer’s production process.
Components are produced from pharmaceutical- and/or food-grade raw materials. The selected materials depend on the intended application. Plastic parts are injection moulded in ISO Class 7 cleanrooms. After moulding, assembly takes place in ISO Class 8 cleanrooms.

Before commercial use, customers must evaluate the complete packaging configuration. First, the bottle neck dimensions and screw-cap fit should be checked. Next, closure torque, sealing performance and tube length should be assessed. Dispensing performance must also be tested with the intended formulation.
Finally, qualification should consider product composition and storage conditions. Transportation requirements and the intended shelf life should also be evaluated. These tests confirm whether Pipette 6.2 DIN18, the bottle and the formulation work together correctly.
