1.L Single-Component Cap for 29/21 Neck Finish

The 29/21 edible oil cap 1.L is a one-piece snap-on closure for PET and glass bottles. It is designed for packaging edible oils, vinegar, sauces and other compatible liquid products.

The cap incorporates a tear-off band with an easy-grip tab. This opening system provides visible evidence that the package has been opened. As the closure is manufactured as a single component, it does not require a separate membrane or additional closure element.

Design and opening system

The cap is applied by pressing it onto a compatible 29/21 bottle neck. Internal retaining elements secure the closure beneath the neck bead. Therefore, the product is intended for snap-on neck finishes rather than threaded bottle necks.

To open the package, the user pulls the tab and removes the band around the circumference of the cap. The main closure can then be lifted from the bottle neck.

An integral sealing skirt extends inside the bottle opening. Its shape supports contact between the cap and the neck sealing surface. This design provides sealing without a separate liner.

The ribbed external edge improves grip during handling. Meanwhile, the pull tab remains clearly visible and accessible. Product photographs show the cap in white and yellow versions. Available colours and minimum order requirements should be confirmed when placing an order.

Applications and compatibility

The closure may be used with compatible PET and glass bottles containing edible oil, vinegar, liquid sauces and similar products. However, the complete packaging system must be evaluated with the actual bottle and formulation.

Testing should cover application force, removal force, sealing performance and resistance to leakage. Transport and storage tests are also recommended. Furthermore, the closure should be checked on the intended capping line.

For food packaging projects, the assessment should consider the applicable requirements of Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004. The finished bottle-and-cap system remains subject to verification for the intended product and market.
