Closure 1.3 for 16 mm neck is a single-component screw closure designed for pharmaceutical vials with a nominal neck diameter of 16 mm. It provides convenient closing and helps create a secure seal when used with a compatible vial.

Available Components

Closure 1.3 can be combined with:

• horizontal dropper plug 2.2;
• stopper 2.3.

The horizontal dropper plug 2.2 supports controlled drop-by-drop dispensing from the edge of the insert. It can be considered for liquid products that require drop dispensing.

Stopper 2.3 seals the bottle opening without a drop-dispensing function. This option is suitable when the product is poured, transferred or dosed using a separate device.

According to the Farmmash catalogue, these components are intended for bottles with an inner neck diameter of 8.3 mm. The closure itself is selected for the nominal 16 mm bottle-neck format.

Compatibility and Testing

A nominal neck diameter does not guarantee compatibility with every 16 mm vial. Thread geometry, neck dimensions, sealing surfaces and the dimensions of the bottle opening must also correspond to the selected closure and plug.

Before serial production, the complete system should be tested for fit, leak tightness, application and removal torque, drop formation where applicable, and compatibility with the packaged product. Performance on the filling and capping line should also be evaluated.
