Screw Closure 1.1 A(B) by Farmmash is a one-component screw closure for compatible pharmaceutical bottles with an Ø20 mm neck. The closure is designed for a 20/415 thread configuration and can be combined with the Farmmash horizontal dropper plug 2.2 A(B).
This combination creates a practical closure-and-dropper system for liquid pharmaceutical, healthcare and nutraceutical products.
Closure 1.1 A(B) is designed for compatible bottles with an Ø20 mm neck and 20/415 thread configuration.
The current Farmmash product specification also identifies compatibility with FV-20 and FVM-20 bottle types with an internal neck diameter of 12.4 mm.
Final compatibility should always be confirmed with the actual bottle.
Closure 1.1 A(B) can be supplied together with horizontal dropper plug 2.2 A(B).
The horizontal dropper provides controlled drop formation from the edge of the dispensing element.
According to the Farmmash catalogue, dispensing is performed by tilting the bottle to approximately 120°, after which the drop forms at the edge of the dropper.
The closure-and-dropper combination can be considered for suitable liquid pharmaceutical, healthcare and nutraceutical products where drop-by-drop dispensing is required.
The actual drop characteristics depend on the formulation, including viscosity and surface tension. Therefore, dosing performance should be evaluated with the customer’s actual product.
The closure, dropper plug and bottle should be evaluated as one complete packaging system.
Before serial production, Farmmash recommends checking closure fit, thread engagement, sealing performance, drop formation and compatibility with the filling and capping process.
