One-Component Screw Closure 1.1 A with Sealing Ring

Screw Closure 1.1 A by Farmmash is a one-component screw closure for compatible glass bottles with an Ø20 mm neck.

The closure incorporates an internal sealing ring. This design allows a compatible bottle to be sealed without an additional stopper or dropper plug.

One-Component Design

Closure 1.1 A combines the closing and sealing functions in a single polymer component.

An additional stopper or dropper plug is therefore not required when the closure is used with a compatible bottle and the sealing ring provides the required sealing performance.

Integrated Sealing Ring

The internal sealing ring interacts with the corresponding surface of the bottle neck.

This configuration is designed to provide direct sealing between the closure and a compatible glass bottle.

Actual sealing performance depends on the dimensions and tolerances of both components. Therefore, the closure should be tested with the intended bottle before serial production.

Bottle Compatibility

Closure 1.1 A is intended for compatible bottles with a nominal Ø20 mm neck.

The current Farmmash specification also identifies compatibility with FV-20 and FVM-20 type bottles with an internal neck diameter of 12.4 mm.

Nominal diameter alone does not guarantee compatibility. Bottle-neck geometry, thread dimensions and sealing surfaces should be evaluated together.

Pharmaceutical Packaging Applications

Closure 1.1 A can be considered for compatible pharmaceutical liquid packaging where a simple screw closure with integrated sealing is required.

Unlike configurations using a separate dropper plug, Closure 1.1 A is intended primarily for direct bottle sealing.

Compatibility Testing

Before serial production, Farmmash recommends checking:

• closure fit;
• thread engagement;
• sealing performance;
• opening and reclosing;
• compatibility with the filling and capping process;
• suitability with the actual product.
